The biggest concern that Smartphone users deal with while shifting from Android to iOS is the transferability of data. Unfortunately, there is a very fewer number of ways using which you can shift the data stored in the Android move to iOS. However, WhatsApp smelled the fear and came up with a feature that will make the daunting task of transferring data much easier and smoother. Thanks to this Meta-owned messaging platform which we all call WhatsApp, for introducing an attribute that will transfer all chats from Android to iOS devices in one go.
Mark Zuckerberg, the Co-Founder, and CEO of Meta Platforms like Watshaap made an official announcement about the development on Facebook. Zuckerberg stated that the newly announced feature is able to transfer all sorts of wat sap data including, chats, history, pictures, videos, and voice notes. This ensures smooth and secure switching between devices as it employs end-to-end encryption.
Mr. Zuckerberg wrote on his Facebook timeline “We’re adding to WhatsApp the ability to securely switch between phones and transfer your chat history, photos, videos, and voice messages between Android and iPhone while maintaining end-to-end encryption. This is a top requested feature. We launched the ability to switch from iPhone–>Android last year, and now adding Android–>iPhone as well,” wrote Zuckerberg.
Earlier in 2021, WhatsApp introduced a feature that allowed chat transfer from iOS to Android. Likewise, the newly introduced feature will only be functional for the Android phones running version 5 or later and the iPhone must have iOS 15.5 version or above.
